Darts is a professional sport; it is a form of throwing game in which small missiles (darts) are thrown at a circular target that includes numbers up to 20 to achieve high scores. Darts was first played in the 1860's with speculation that it originated from soldiers throwing small missiles at the bottom of a tree trunk, creating sections when the wood cracks. Now, the standard dartboard features sectors from 1 to 20 all including a treble and double section, which is what you aim for when trying to achieve high scores. Darts is now considered a professional sports but we still await for it to appear as an Olympic sport.
