The 2000 basketball is ‘tan’ in color, with pebble-grain texture expertly stamped onto the 1.2mm PVC surface. This particular surface is slightly tacky to touch, providing that extra grip that is required to achieve high skill level that includes throwing, catching and dribbling. The surface of the Midwest basketball is divided by ribs, which are black in color; they are recessed below the surface of the ball.
A basketball such as this ball has been designed to very be durable as this sport includes the ball to be bounced continuously (better known as dribbling), passed through the air to other players and shooting into the basket. Therefore a basketball should have great durability and easy to hold on to.
